Dr. Poorva Parnaik, DDS, promotes the importance of establishing good oral health habits at an early age at annual community events both in her Medford dental office and “on location” at area preschools.
As a family dentist, Dr. Parnaik offers pediatric dentistry, encouraging parents to start bringing their children around the age of 4. In this way, children can establish a warm and friendly relationship with Dr. Parnaik and her staff, all of whom have years of experience treating children and welcome them to the office in Medford, NJ.
Studies have shown that our dental health is directly related to our overall health and there are links between dental problems and diabetes, stroke and heart disease. Starting a routine of visiting the dentist twice a year when children are young is a great way to ensure that they will grow up as healthy as possible and will continue to maintain their oral health for a lifetime!
Dr. Parnaik and the staff of Dental Creations take time each year to educate children of the community on the importance of good oral hygiene practices and healthy eating. Recently, Dr. Parnaik visited a local KinderCare for a demonstration on tooth brushing and healthy eating, featuring Dinosaur Dena! With the help of her stuffed sidekick, Dr. Parnaik seeks to encourage children to take care of their teeth every day and to educate them on the overall benefits of eating well and avoiding sugary snacks.
At the Medford KinderCare event, Dr. Parnaik gave out “goody bags” of dental treats to the children in attendance and enjoyed having fun with them singing songs and playing with Dinosaur Dena.
On August 15, 2013, Dr. Parnaik will host another community event, wellness alliance, featuring executive chef Mr. Brudnicki. This hour long event, beginning at 5:30 PM, will take place at her Medford dental office and include a recipe demonstration followed by a tasting of foods prepared.
Call Dr. Parnaik of Dental Creations for more information about this event or to schedule a consultation.
